In April 2009, the French environmental magazine\u00a0Terra Eco<\/a><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0published a story on the\u00a0Solar Electric Light Fund<\/strong>,\u00a0\u201cSELF ou l\u2019empire du soleil \u00e9lectrifiant.\u201d\u00a0That story grabbed the attention of\u00a0Vu<\/a> du Ciel<\/a><\/strong>, a National Geographic<\/em>-like program hosted by world-renowned photographer\u00a0Yann Arthus-Bertrand<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You may have seen or own a copy of Arthus-Bertrand\u2019s stunningly beautiful coffee table book Earth from Above<\/a><\/em>.  Or perhaps you have watched HOME<\/a><\/strong>, the documentary about planet Earth (as seen from above) that was filmed and produced by Arthus-Bertrand and made freely available to the world via the Internet.

On November 26, 2009, French television broadcast a 90-minute episode of Vu du Ciel entitled \u201cThe End of Oil\u201d<\/strong> which featured SELF\u2019s work in Benin<\/a>, West Africa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
